Donations to Food Banks
Our members have donated thousands of pounds of food every year to the Akron Canton Regional Food Bank and several other local food banks in the area. Extra food that is grown from our projects are also donated so those in need can benefit. Congratulations to club member Mr. Andy Bettick, who at the age of 89, grew many hundreds of pounds of food for the Akron Canton Regional Food Bank in one season for which he was honored this past year by many local and regional papers. Please consider donating excess growth from your gardens to your local banks. They really need them!
